Gift from Above

I captured this shot of a spectacular, yet fading sunset framed with chollas after hiking to the Flatiron Summit along the Siphon Draw Trail in Lost Dutchmen State Park near Apache Junction, Arizona. The summit can be seen in the background of this picture right below the purple sky. It is 5057 feet and located in the Superstition Mountain Wilderness. The overall elevation gain of the hike is 2781 feet and is very difficult, especially on the knees! Photo © copyright by Michael Greene.
